Hello Renae Semple,
I received the package in the mail and was disappointed by a couple of very glaring facts. The first was that the box had a huge gash in it. I have pictures of this before opening the package and the corners were dented since you used the original box for shipping, which is not standard practice for expensive items. A separate box is definitely used to protect the integrity of the item inside. Second, your ebay auction states "reads blue ray dvd and games, had no problems really no blemishs (sic)". Unfortunately, that is not the case. The small door for the PS3 card reader is absolutely broken and since it was packed in paper and was shut, this was obviously done before the item reached me. Thirdly, the drive begins to read games fine, but if I try to exit a game, it hangs and freezes. This is definitely broken. You can see I am honest, looking at my feedback. Please reply via ebay. One more thing, both controllers have the top nub removed. This should have been stated in the auction as well. I am not complaining about the small scratches at the top. Those are fine. The actual laser reading mechanism is freezing. I have not updated or done anything but test a game (still on firmware 2.42 and lots of great music to boot;). Thanks. Sorry. I am not prone to complain, but this is glaringly not what the item description said.

Hey Renae,
I also just tried Kill Bill 2, the BluRay disc. It is not reading it at all. Definitely not working. Sorry for the third message. My neighbor came upstairs and said if it is the Bluray player it won't read the disc and we tried his disc. No go. So this is definitely not a working machine. Thanks in advance for anything you can do about this!

I got it and it did not work out of the box. I told the woman and she took it back, but she was not happy about it. I didn't directly threaten her with feedback and an ebay complaint, but it was implied by sending a video of the item and the pictures of the box with holes in it.

@iMSoHigh420ritenow Did you update it? There is a known bug with the 60GB and the newer updates. My Blu-Ray went out IMMEDIATELY after I updated and put in Little Big Planet.

@iMSoHigh420ritenow That is the reason why I bought a second one. The Blu-Rays on the old machines aren't great either. I ended up sending my PS3 in and getting a nice refurb in its place. The problem with getting a refurb now though...No OtherOS and also no Custom Firmware....coming out shortly...You may want to think about getting your PS3 exchanged by the seller or buy another one before theCustom Firmware is released and prices pop up for the older versions. Just a heads up.
