how did you smudge the glowing hand without affecting the part of the hand?

i mean you did not smudge the hand.. only the fire..

@Phalanx93 : The lines are in one layer. The fire and effects are on other layers on top of the lines layer.

How do you color without going over the linework?

@Phalanx93 yes, the fire has 2 or 3 layers i think.. one for the yelow glow, one for the red glow
