This video was created to support the goals of Ontario Dances. Ontario Dances is a program of the Ontario Arts Council (OAC).

In 2013, the Ontario Arts Council will celebrate 50 years of support to the hundreds of artists and arts organizations across the province. Among these are the dance organizations, dancers and choreographers who produce and create in Ontario. OAC support helps ensure that dance lovers throughout the province have access to their work.

The Ontario Arts Council would like to thank all of the performers who shared their passion for dancing in the making of this video.

I dance because when I dance I don't have troubles anymore, I am in my dance, in my story and it calms me, when my dance is over I am physically tired but mentally I have a huge boost. Eventually for me dancing is like breathing or eating it's an essential part of my life.

Je danse parce que quand je danse je n'ai plus de problème je suis dans ma danse dans mon histoire et ça m'apaise, quand j'ai fini mon cours de danse je suis physiquement fatiguée mais mentalement j'ai un regain de force énorme. Pour moi finalement danser c'est comme respirer ou manger, c'est une composante essentielle de ma vie.
