If you guys really think the music of the Grateful Dead needs to be energized and danceable, I'm pretty sure you never got a chance to see them live, and I must come to their defense. As they got stadiums of people to get down and shake their bones, without playing straight Afro-Beat and funk grooves, which is basically the most danceable music on the planet, but just doesn't allow for the levels of communication that their grooves achieved. Phil's whole point was not to play on "one". Respect.
