Along with wisdom, age brings under eye dark circles. While easy to get, they're extremely difficult to treat...because they can be caused by so many different things. Dr. Schultz will explain the causes of under eye dark circles and how to eliminate them

Transcript:

Dark under eye circles make you look tired and make you look older and are very frustrating to treat. A lot of products out there promise to lighten those circles but in reality and unfortunately the only thing they lighten is your wallet. The reason that these are so difficult to treat is because they are caused by any combination of seven different problems.

There are two types of brown in the skin that cause them at two different levels of the skin. There are three types of enlarged blood vessels: they can be purple, blue, or pink. And there are two types of shadows that cause them: one shadow comes from the bulge of fat from the lower lid as we get older and the other comes from fine wrinkling of the lower lid skin which appears as parallel lines which when light hits them from above causes shadows just like light hitting open flat, parallel Venice blinds.

Because it is so difficult to find the right product for you, instead of being frustrated and using random products, if you have dark under eye circles, see your dermatologist so he can help you find out what the cause of your circles are and help you treat them.

  • I like this guy. He didn't try to scam you with a product or surgical solution. He simply tells us the facts and that a dermatologist will come up with our individual solution.

  • @Sakura11101 Same!! Ive had mine forever, and i spend hours looking up things that say use teabags and cucumber and spoons, but it doesnt work for me! Im in 7th grade now, and its getting old...

  • Call me crazy, but i find men with eye bags/ dark undereye circles to be sexy....wait...you know what...that's only for James McAvoy...my bad.

  • @vbnrtyfgh Well i disagree, I think it's of a lot of value. It offers nothing but facts and real information, unlike the information drug and skin care companies feed us. It just doesn't offer a quick fix that we are so used to, and that's probably why you're not satisfied after watching it.

  • I have dark circles since I born.. -_-

  • the conclusion of this video is that if we want to eliminate dark circles we have to see a dermatologist or contact you. But the fact is that due to time constraints we cannot do so. Therefore, this video is of little informative value.

  • I've had dark circles since I was at least 5. STUPID HEREDITY >.< No concealers work for me and my dark circles constantly get darker D:

  • @anadexerex me to

  • @MegaNintendogamer1 oooh exciting! good luck, i really hope it works. and so true! even with concealer on it sometimes shines through :( and it really sucks when you're at the beach or when you go to a pool, you don't want to wear anything on your face, but you also don't want to look like a drug addict because of your circles. so annoying!
