i don't get it why do you have to reinstall the operating system when you just are replacing the motherboard and bios chip????

Here's what I think your problem might be,the terminal were u connect the CMOS battery is bad(broken or not making contact to the motherboard,u need some one to check the motherboard.

@bigjolly31641 have you tried to reset the whole bios to factory settings or done the ide/sata detection or manually set them up?

@PsiloCybinDreamX That board is trash now. but I have since learned how to update motherboard bios and will never do that again.
