almost all your pictures in this session were overexposed...they are hot and you are losing edge detail

Does anybody have a problem with edge detail using the hilite? I cant move the subjects to far away from the bg so if the edge light is a problem with the hilite i might save some money :)

I bought one of these and after 2 days I eventually got it up. How ever the metal trimming inside is all twisted and I can see it dropping at the top in the middle and I am so fearful its just going to twist and fall down but I dare touch it!! If anyone from lastolite would like to come to my studio and help me put it up correctly I would really appreciate it. thanks. Please send me a message

Mark, I am looking at buying one of these 6x7' versions in the next few weeks.
What lamp would you recommend, and how many?
I currently use a Nikon D300 and SB800

I have the 6x7 and did a Christmas Photo shoot! Loving the easy of this again!
Made some great money at this shoot! Was able to capture many people (kids and family) without changing the setting.

Ordered a 6'x7' from KARLU . COM on thursday. (still waiting).
Can't wait. Anythings got to be better than trying to use 4 stands and supports, four old bowens heads and a mountain of white sheets!

I am both happy and confused with the lastolite. I have a lot of spill and a lot of drop off (darkedges). I believe I still need additiona light to what is being used in the video. I need to lights outside the hiliter and one main light. Plus, the one that is in the hiliter. I am not sure why this hiliter is so expensive and not as good as i would expected.
DISAPPOINTED CUSTOMER!

Hi. You shouldn't be getting dark edges etc on the background. It's important that the flash unit pointing inside the HiLite is directed to the centre of the back panel, on the inside of the HiLite, to ensure even light distribution. This is explained in the instructions. If you need a copy of these I can email them to you or they can be downloaded from our website. What size HiLite do you have? We only recommend 2 lights inside the HiLite on the 8x7 version. In the video Mark is using the 6x7.

Click on the 'distributors/where to buy' link on the Lastolite website and select the UK. You will then get a list of all the high street, mail order and internet dealers in the UK. Give a few a ring to see who can offer the best deal.
