1914 O We Go Cycle Car HD at the first flight of Curtiss twin engine America 2008 1914 Owego Cyclecar
Final drive was by by belt or chain with fuel economy at 40 to 50 miles per gallon. Features included rear suspension by cantilever springs, road clearance was 9 inches, total Cyclecar weight was 608 pounds, wheelbase was 104 inches and tread width was 36 inches. Specially designed for around town use.The Owego Cyclecar was produced as a streamlined two passenger tandem model or a one passenger with a delivery body. One distinguishing feature was that the electric headlights were mounted on the front fender, later that became a feature of the Pierce-Arrow.

  • the disk's slide it makes a variable ratio transmition. Willsons used them.

    It's like a morgan or vellerex. They make moddern ones.

  • Thanks! -Might go back to these - simple, and the modern version would make a great small hybrid vehicle. Less parts=less to break down, and fantastic mileage - how long before we get our mileage back to what these cars achieved in 1914?!!
