Interesting to hear the studio chatter and the recording process - this is from 8th November session where Frank was trying out this song and also Stars Fell On Alabama for A Swingin' Affair album - he got it right with take 21 on 15th November 1956

  • were the vocals an overdub (doubt, since was in the 50's) so the band didn't have to keep playing the parts? can't really tell from the edits... thanks if you know...

  • Love these live takes and dialog, thanks much for posting them. These players were the studio kings. Frank was just the real deal. Bill Putnam was the engineer for sides that my Dad did in 1952 (Bobby Mills Orch.).

  • Wow. Great stuff.

  • Holy mozes. where did you get this from? Is there more like this?

  • sensational always loved this song
