The last great world cup. We got Maradonna, Laudrup, Hugo Sanchez, Enzo Scifo, Platini and a shit load of other great players. Football was all about winning, going out and attacking your opponents. And the final.....great stuff. Since then it's been by and large...shite. Italia 90' ruined by negative, scared to lose teams and was the lowest scoring WC ever. Every final since 86' has been shocking. Let's hope Argentina and Spain bring us back to the glory days.

Thanks for your enlightened comment. If you watch the clip (the thing we're commenting on), you'll notice around 35/36 seconds that it shows Marco Tardelli's goal celebration from the 1982 final. I merely wanted to state that that was the image that springs to my mind when I hear this piece of music. I am well aware of when it took place, but thank you for your concern.

i was 12 when this was on, the best world cup in my lifetime so far, maradonna, lineker, amazing matches goals, still waiting to see if another, worst 1 in my lifetime is US 94 probably cause i was there media coverage aint the same in tht US as it is in the UK
