comparing portnoy to any drummer out there is useless anyway..

cause there's no drummer that plays like him.

maybe some are faster. maybe some play better drum solos. maybe some are more technical.. yep. without a doubt.

but his style and creativity is pretty unique and besides no other drummer plays in a band that sounds like dream theater and could use his skills in a musical context like this.

so fuck it. mp is mp and dt is dt. anything else is sth different. got it?

@LHondrums Nice, I agree. Portnoy is the most creative drummer I think. There's a lot good and fast drummer out there. But still I'm in love with his drumming style.

Hes still one of the BEST drummers out there. Every drummer has their own style and mix. He has a clean style and pulls off some sick shit. Fuck everyone talking smack about him.

@ElFlacoDrumming Would be pretty cool if he would catch it after it felt on his stick the first time :P Ohh and to those arguments... Portnoy is not the best drummer in the world but in his context he is awsome... creative right fill right stability... each genre and his own reqiuerments.
