@biplav32 They were, but 3D in the sense of using polygons for animations, as opposed to older methods.

Perhaps they just mean the player has more freedom in the order they do things? Perhaps instead of the game following a linear route, you can play through the game and choose to do dungeons / side-quests / interactions as and when you like? Obviously I have no idea if that's what they mean, it could mean something entirely different... either way, I sure hope it works out very well!

For me, I like ZELDA because of the general appearance of the games. TP, ST, OOT, MM, etc. Also, the twists they put on the realms (hyrule, termina, and so on), just make me feel kinda elated in a way

That last question made me think so much, i mean, how are they going to alter that process of going from one dungeon to field to another dungeon, it's a tradition and i dont see how it can be changed?
