i think chomsky would answer, at least judging from past lectures and writings i've seen of his, that physical intervention is justified if the people of the area of the intervention support the action. the un giving humanitarian aid to people in palestine i'd imagine IS supported by most people in palestine. also, giving humanitarian aid to palestine does not "hinder Israel." calling him "anti-western": you need to break free from these simplistic ways of framing complex issues

i'm actually an atheist, but, as someone raised in Christianity with many years of education in the bible, i just couldn't think of what he was referring to. But i agree with what you're saying... the bible probably COULD be used to justify anything and therefore really isn't any sort of moral compass.
