  • that is just crazy - very different styles plus you have 2 players at very different points in their lives.

  • Please dont compare Matts talent to Clapton. Clapton aint in the same ballpark.......

  • he is still young, compared to clapton when he ws matt's age clapton's voice sucked... but like fine wine, clapton's voice improved and he has a voice great and better than he was young... the same might be for matt, just wait..

  • He is without a doubt an amazing guitar player and i'll go and see him when i get the chance, but like Johnny Winter, John Mayer and countless other white blues singers, the singing is just not quite there. Something missing, not quite right. Listen to anything by Robert Cray, Eric Clapton or Mick Pini and compare with Schofield. What you'll find if you have an ear is that Mr Schofield does not have a great voice. Still, if you like it that's all that matters really.

  • theres nothing bad about his singing!hes pure class

  • Great playing here, but singing disapoints like most modern blues singers.

  • Ya I saw him sitting in with another band in a small town in Ontario's North. WHen I got home I ordered all the CD's. I would have to concede to say he could possibly the most competent living blues guitarist alive. I hope he makes it huge!! And when he comes back a few lessons too ;-)

  • THE WHOLE BANDS AWESOME!!!!

  • haha...I just found out about matt schofield today, and I did the exact same thing the other posters did. I listened to the samples on the web and before I was even done listening I went out and bought two of matt's CDs. Great stuff!

  • yep me too.
