i have a Bilateral cleft too, i get really insecure at times because my underbite. It makes me don't wanna smile or talk to anyone sometimes. i wish i have your confidences :/

@Nanijohaa no, but i've been thinking about it a lot lately and i've decided i wanna get it done. i just wanna to know how long will the recovery and treatment takes before getting braces ..

@Chinkyfaace They usually do jaw surgery after you have your teeth aligned, but recovery could very. It took me a good couple months until I was comfortable enough to eat more solid food and chew. For some, it may even take a year or longer. If you take good care of your mouth, clean it thoroughly daily and exercise your jaw lightly without overdoing it, you may recover faster.
