I'm currently working on a synchronized water fountain project. The final goal is to have an array of water fountains timed to music. This is a demonstration of the control software I wrote, the digital controller and a single valve and relay.

The software is written in .Net and interfaces with a BBUSB device from smileymicros set in bitbang mode. Two alligator clips connect one of the control bits on the bread board to the input side of a solid state relay. One post of the output side is connected to a 24VAC transformer and the other is connected to the fast acting solenoid valve.

The next part of the project will be to add more valves and experiment with various types of fountain heads. For now I'll be sticking with hooking everything up to a garden hose while I experiment with low voltage and low PSI equipment.
