This has to go down in history as the best opening vampire staking scene in movie history.
A British production, similar in quality to Hammer Studio films, and written by a Hammer writer Jimmy Sangster.
The same team also produced Jack The Ripper at the time.
The video is available for purchase. I hope this makes the owners happy, not mad (if it's still even copyrighted).

  • I've got this movie on vhs. I first watched it when I was 4, and been watching it ever since. Very original movie. Loved it then and still do now.

  • @knockoutking1000 Is it good color or faded? Which releasing company?

  • I watched this movie yesterday...I wanted to watch the rest because it was just awesome and unique...But it was like 3:00 am...And had to go to sleep...Can you upload the whole movie please.

  • No way, not me.

There's a video available. For many years they had trouble finding a good color print, now they have it. Everyone should get it while there's a chance. It is special.

    Where was it playing?

  • One of the first horror movies I ever saw. The one pallbearer with the beard looks like the guy who played Paul in Curse of Frankenstein. I was disappointed that this was not a true vampire movie, but it still was very good. I haven't seen it since the late 60s.

  • thing is, looks more like a metal rod than a wooden stake.

  • Thanks for uploading this. Never nice opening scene. I've never seen this but might pick it up...of course it looks as if those Cinematic Titanic guys did this one as well. May wait and watch it that way....

  • can somebody please upload this movie???

  • Any more? Where can I find the rest of the movie?

  • AMC american movie classics a tv channel

  • In the UK and Ireland this film can be seen on Film 24 (FTA Channel 157) Saturday November 20th. I imagine it'll be on rotation for a few weeks/months.
