"A Gift Of Nature" - English Chamber Music of the 17th Century

Trio Sonnerie

- Monica Huggett, violin
- Emilia Benjamin, viola da gamba
- James Johnstone, harpsichord

From Matteis collection "Ayres for the violin: The fourth Part": The composer included two separate tables in this edition, one listing "the most Easy Ayres in ye Book that may be played with the Flute as well as the Violin," and the other "ye Passages & Ayres a little harder to practice upon the Violin with double Stops and divisions."

Hope you enjoy it.

  • I love ALL music I hear from composer Niccola Matteis <3 His music is my favorite. I train hard on violin so I can play his pretty songs one day :) They have that beautiful, sort of 'organic' feel of the baroque. Also, very italian. Love it!!

  • SUPER-MUZICA..NICOLA MATEIS NR 1 BRAVO BRAVO
