GTI MKV water/methanol injection (home built)

Megasquirt ECU controlling a single Acura RDX 440 cc fuel injector, shurflo 60 psi pump, 1gallon tank
tuned @ 2.5 Gallons per hour plans are to write different tunes for different fuels up to 6 GPH.

Right now it is instant on instant off only one position (tuneable), I am working on making it progressive controlled by MAP when I hook up the map sensor.

Im almost done installing a stage 1 snow kit on my gti, got a couple questions. Where did u tap for a boost signal. Also I see that ur injector is in on top of the noise pipe hose, doesnt air travel upwards through the hose there for pushing the solution away, instead of sucking it in??

I used the "newsouth boost tap" search that. Yes air travels up the pipe. But the injector is running off 60psi and the most the pipe sees is 21 or so. It comes out in a fine mist so it gets sucked up the pipe after it fires down. (check the other vid)

Most people just drill and tap into the meatiest part of the throttle pipe for their nozzle. I would use some sort of sealer in their aswell. But my injector is a acura MDX fuel injector. hooked in as a noise pipe plug basically.

ok i see what ur saying. Now im assuming that the 150 psi pump is plenty to spray the solution past the compressed air traveling through the nose pipe correct? Also, did u tap the small black hose with the 2 silver clamps right below the fuel pump for boost or did u go somewhere else?

yes that pump is PLENTY strong enough. yes it is that small black hose that comes out of the intake and into a little distribution block, some people tap it by cutting it and installing a "T" fitting but newsouth performance makes a hose with a built in "T" that is a direct replacement for around $10 alot easier then bending those hoses and possibly breaking a vacuum fitting on you engine block (ask me how I know....) aslo allows you to keep the factory hose to put back to stock later if needed

i see ur only using a 60psi pump. u should be VERY careful with that as u run a huge risk of hydrolocking. if i was u id upgrade to a 200psi pump. once u get hydrolocked, ur fucked. even if u were just to only do meth injection i wouldnt recommend anything below 100psi.

Dont waste your money on that newsouth boost tap. Its plastic and crappy. The ECS or 42dd one is way more worth the money.

Gee I wonder who is a mechanical engineer and doesn't work in "customer service" mix 50/50 mix of WATER and METHANOL and try to light it on fire then come tell me it is a flammable liquid.
