Thanks for posting this. I remember when his shoe flew off and they kept going I was yelling, "ten, ten, ten!" These two are in my all time favorites. Lots of energy, lots of entertainment.

Lindy Hop is 8 count, and much more of a social dance. Once you're comfortable with the basic Lindy footwork you should be able to dance with any partner, even if you've never met them before. The few times I've seen Jive it looks like a very ballroom version of West Coast and tends to be more like 50's swing. As far as I can tell, Jitterbug is Lindy Hop with no rhyme or reason. if you want a better explanation look up Groovie Movie

Lindy Hop was introduced on DWTS in Season 8, the season after this one.

Don't get me wrong; it's easy to get confused by the two of them because both dances are so similiar!
