Clyde H. Bellecourt is co-founder and National Director of American Indian Movement, and Executive Director of Heart of the Earth, Inc., in Minneapolis. On May 20, 2011, Clyde delivered an Intervention from the floor of the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues, recounting the history of that body, the International Indian Treaty Council, and the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous People.
