Priceless, you say a domestic partnership is not a family and then you tell them to get married if they want rights, but you're not allowing them to get married either. So what are they supposed to do? A family is made up of people who love each other. It can be an adopted family or a biological family -- it doesn't matter. My family consists of my two dads and my two younger brothers and myself, and we are a legal family, but more importantly we are a family in our hearts.

Im not saying people should be disrespectful to you. But a domestic partnership is NOT a family. If you want the rights of a married couple - then get MARRIED. MARRIAGE = 1MAN+1WOMAN.
Im not trying to force any views on anyone, but this is the way its always been ever since the creation of the earth. So why should marriage be redefined??
Also why is MINORITY trying to rule the MAJORITY?....

And, Priceless, gay and lesbian students and students with same-sex parents *also* attend public school. We don't deserve to be shoved to the back of the bus. My parents paid taxes just like straight parents did. My brothers and I deserved to have just as safe and comfortable a school experience as anyone else.

Priceless, millions of gay and lesbian people have children. I myself have two gay dads. I live in California, so luckily my dads were able to get married last year before Prop 8 passed. Before that, they also had DP benefits. It's not fair for you to treat our family as second-class citizens under the law. You can think it's a "perverted relationship" if you want, but you don't have the right to force your views into the law to deny us rights. My family is just as worthy as any other family.

I care. However, i don't consider gay and lesbians a FAMILY. Its a perverted relationship and no more. Second, I don't think its appropriate to teach kids in schools that this is a NORMAL life style.

Priceless, why? It's important for gay and lesbian couples and their families (and heterosexual seniors) to have legal protections, benefits and responsibilities. Don't you care about families in Washington?
