FINALLY, the milestone we've all been waiting for! -Tesla Roadster number 1000 is here, Elon Musk told us at the Detroit auto show on the 13th of January. Until the Tesla Model S comes along...there will be probably around 3500 or more Tesla Roadsters on the roads around the world. There's already 10 retail outlets in the US and in Europe with more to follow. Please do comment on this clip and thanks again for watching!

Not only that, but as of May 2009 they already have over 1000 reservations for the Model S which require at least a $5000 deposit. That being said, Tesla currently has over $5 million in commitment from buyers for the Model S.

I saw Robert Llewellyn in one of those clips! He loves Electric Cars. I'm happy it was made available for retail, because a few years ago there was a documentary out "who killed the electric car" my son found, who was only 5 at the time, and it made me wonder, and now, its an idea who's time has long since been good. Lets hope they try to charge those babies up with solar!! :D Here's to the future :D

I wander what the oil rich Arab nations are saying about Tesla , Tesla doesn't look like a joke anymore there becoming more famous by the day , having rolled out there 1000th non petrol electric car should give them a tickle
