Auburn University Theatre is dreaming boldly, and we need your help to realize that dream with genius, power and magic. In the fall of 2009, the Auburn University Board of Trustees approved the creation of plans for an exciting new addition to the award-winning Telfair Peet Theatre, initiating a bold step forward for theatre and the performing arts on Auburn's campus. The proposed addition features a state of the art studio theatre, dance studio, office space, a stunning outdoor plaza and lobby enhancements that will make Auburn University Theatre a genuine performing arts destination.
Our students, faculty and guest artists have been mounting quality theatre productions in the Telfair Peet for nearly 40 years. The facility has been our version of Shel Silverstein's "Giving Tree" as students have gone from their first theatrical home to work in professional theatre, film, television and a whole host of other industries. Now it's time to "give back" to that cherished first theatrical home, so the next generation of AU theatre artists can pursue their dreams in facilities with the same magic and power as their predecessors.
