In memory of all who perished on 11 September 2001...and all who have paid the ultimate price for freedom since that day.

Special dedication to the 343 Firefighters and Paramedics who gave all....and their children left behind...

STAIRS TO HEAVEN

The sky was crystal clear when you dropped me
Off at school that day
You smiled and said "I love you, angel"
And I watched you drive away.

That was the last time I saw my hero
I was ten years old
Visions of those blackened skies
Etched deep within my soul

Wasn't yet a teenager
No longer just a kid
They ruined all the plans we made
By the evil that they did
When I close my eyes I see your face
And know that all is well
You climbed the stairs to Heaven
The day the towers fell

I had told all my friends my Dad
Would've coached our soccer team
I know you would've warned my dates
They'd better treat me like a queen

That Ol' Teddy Bear you gave me
Chased the monsters from my dreams
He's all worn and tattered now
Splitting at the seams

Wasn't yet a teenager
No longer just a kid
They ruined all the plans we made
By the evil that they did
When I close my eyes I see your face
And know that all is well
You climbed the stairs to Heaven
The day the towers fell

You taught me about courage
And selfless sacrifice
When you faced those fiery towers
To save those strangers lives

Without hesitation I knew
What I had to do
Raised my right hand, took the oath
Dad I did it for you

Wasn't yet a teenager
No longer just a kid
They ruined all the plans we made
By the evil that they did
When I close my eyes I see your face
And know that all is well
You climbed the stairs to Heaven
The day the towers fell

Writing in the desert heat
About danger in the sand
My story told in this dusty journal
I penned in my own hand

I know one day I'll see you, Dad
But I promise until then
I'll be strong, keep pressing on
Until we meet again

Wasn't yet a teenager
No longer just a kid
They ruined all the plans we made
By the evil that they did
When I close my eyes I see your face
And know that all is well
You climbed the stairs to Heaven
The day the towers fell

My Daddy was a Fireman
The day the towers fell

  • Hard to believe we are at the ten year anniversary, the images are still fresh in my mind. Since then I lost fourteen friends, came close to losing my life too. We need to redouble our efforts and crush these vermin. Never will I ever Forget.

  • @TheAmericanViews We are grateful for you services too, George.

  • I find nothing funnier than the thought of the skin burning off a 9/11 victim.

  • @BigDawgMusicMafia Seriously guy,the poor kid lost family and you wanna fight?

Why dont YOU show some class and keep your opinions to yourself....I would LOVE to know who was responsible for this kids pain, but you see, we are NOT ALLOWED TO KNOW because....well,no one really knows why. Fake sympathy??? How many trips have you made to ground zero? I suspect NONE.

Ive wept enough tears to fill an the ocean over this, but you would prefer to think otherwise, suit yourself.

  • @FreedumbFighter28 What is sick is how you Truthers tongue and cheek your comments,to take jabs at the government. I'm not too keen on the government either,However there is a time and a place for things. Show a little class will ya.Children lost their fathers, music heals the soul, the last thing they want to read is folks like you with your fake sympathy taking cheap shots. Grow up!

  • @HomerbearReloaded Ok big shocker here Homer I wrote this with Lisa Mei and I'm not even a chick Hows that for "personal-connection" HA! Do you really think every song written must have proof of the story told, of just ones who tribute Heroes that died on 9/11? What your doing is dirty politics,my guess would be your a Truther..run along and play now...and take your dirty barf bag with ya!

  • The song should not be as happy but I love the pictures

  • Thanku so much Lisamei62 !!!! If anyone else would share my link Id be grateful I just want to share my appreciation for all those who lost their lives that day and to those who lost someone they love to the tragedy of 911 .....

  • Yup...Isnt it sick that the governemnt wont tell you who paid for 9/11?

Maybe the CIA accidentallyt paid for it? And thats why they wont tell us who financed it. Im so sorry kid ...maybe if you question the governemnt and demand a new investigation, you can find out who killed your dad

  • so...DID the person who's Father supposedly died on 9-11 (the song writer) care to give any details, (ie PROOF of their VERY "personal-connection" to the event and by extension their right to act like a "victim") and do they or not support a new investigation?

cos otherwise, this just looks like a sick attempt at emotionalizing (DIRTY) politics that, make me want to reach for a puke-bag.
