This short film is a critical response to the ongoing debate around assisted suicide and euthanasia.

The picture represents myself on the right and a friend and both of us need 24 hour support.

David Morris is senior policy adviser to the mayor of London, poet and chef and Katherine Araniello is a contemporary cutting-edge artist.
The picture encapsulates a presence of strength, independence and diversity.

Total independence is possible without physical movement.
Requiring physical assistance does not degrade quality of life.

  • Everybody with any disability is an individual - with their choices based on that. I find the most vociferous individuals on this issue are the ones either not affected by it, or ones that have some strong oppinion against it. Choice - as simple as that.

  • A short sharp questioning statement against the stereotypes around assisted suicide for disabled people. Don't believe the gloom for that is what the mainstream media perpetuates. We are loud and alive and loving it, dark and light and all that is the human condition.

Araniello does it again in her no frills provocative style.
