This video first shows a common jobber drill being used to drill into plastic material. Notice how the chips wrap on the drill body creating a "bird's nest". This accumulation will mar and melt the top surface. Drills designed for plastic have a special point design that produce a good hole, smooth top and bottom surface plus the point geometry throws the chips from the hole and prevents chip wrap. www.onsrud.com
