  • OK... I hear you guys ranting. The fact is that I have several 240Zs.

This is a decent lap in an L24 powered 240Z, Original drivetrain from engine to rear wheels.

    I have a V-8 converted 240Z as well. I love them both.

Just for frame of reference, I also own a track prepped E36 BMW M3. I love that car too.

They are all fast in different ways.

  • I'll be back this June to drive on NEW pavement...

The little Datsun is a street car with bigger brakes, Triple Weber DCOE45s and some minor headwork. The suspension has some minor modifications to allow for some negative camber in front, front and rear toe, and +5 deg. caster.

2499lbs with 8 Gal gas and me(170lbs) in it. complete interior and glass. granted there isn't much interior in these things to begin with.

  • Nice job!

  • Looks like you had quite alot of understeer?

Good driving though and I can't put you down if you own two 240z's, that deserves respect ;)

  • Looks like alot of fun! The engine still sounds great too!

  • I HAVE A 73, THATZ THE SHIIZMSZ ALL DAY!

  • I HAVE A 73, IT RUNZ ALL DAY ALDAY!

  • haha, are you driving in mechanix gloves?

  • hahaha. ground effects?

  • ALSO.... Very important to know if you are going to burn up some asphalt with an old-school Datsun 240z.. Get ground effects and a good spoiler on the hatch!!! I mean put an aftermarket air-dam on the front clip, side skirts on the rocker-panels and a Racing Wing or spoiler mounted on the rear hatch. This will fix all the 1970's aerodynamic mistakes on the first generation Z.
