This is 19 year old Meloki. He weighs about 15 lbs and 1 1/2 feet tall. Meloki was as big as a chickenand as you can see the cage is resting on the bottom of the chair and he's taller than the back of the chair! He's a Molucan Cockatoo from Malaysia. Those are bandages around him because when birds are stressed they pick and pull their feathers. They are the most loving out of all birds and normally get attached to one person and constantly need affection. You can also cuddle with this bird. Don't forget to check out my African Grey parrot, The ORIGINAL Romeo (not to be confused with other "ROMEO" videos out there. He has a vocabulary of about 100 words. He's extremely intelligent and has a foul mouth lol

  • now THAT is a small cage... leave it around free like mine.... itll be happy... shannon9469 is right..

  • It's small but comfortable enough for travel to and from the vet. It's only a travel cage not his cage at home.

  • It's a gauze to prevent him from pulling out all his feathers. It's very common for birds to feel stress from many different factors including moving to a new habitat or having to get acquainted to new food, etc so they tend to pull out their feathers. That gauze was put on by the vet to prevent further plucking. But rest assured, this bird is VERY spoiled and loved

  • to have in a restricted inclosure like that is crule. at what is around the birds waist doesnt look very happy>:(

  • No silly. It's just a travel cage to transport to and from the vet. At home his cage is almost as big as a small bedroom and he's not locked up.
