SilverStone is well known for their excellent HTPC cases and this one is no different. This case doesn't have a large LCD on the front or is it all aluminum, but it does look elegant, has all the right features and is affordable. Note that this case even fits 10.5" long video cards. Buck for buck, this HTPC case is one of the best out there.

  • How long can the optical drive be, before it means you have to use a smaller CPU cooler?

  • It depends on the cooler that used. SilverStone has more information on their website about this.

  • BTW: This case fits 10.5" long video cards, but 11" video cards would be a very tight fit.

  • What type of case is this?

Although you mention certain computer pieces or certain areas to add things such as HDD's

But this really doesn't look like a proper computer case or a gaming case.

You mentioned media earlier but as in like what?

  • Home Theater PC Cases can be used for watching movies, looking at photo's, listening to internet radio, playing games, etc.

  • YouTube sucks on that.. It would be nice if the videos would come available only after they get processed completely.

  • HTPC stands for Home Theater PC

  • Can I install a 240mm radiator in it(possibly with modification) such as the one in the upcoming Corsair HD100?

  • 3dgameman your videos are just awesome :) very informative, but i would really like seeing a video on how to set up a home server pc . that would be really appreciated.

    regards

  • Where did you buy this case from?

  • @233kosta Thanks for the help.

  • @bubinasuit No, this case will fit standard GPUs, but low profile CPU coolers are recommended if a DVD/BD drive is installed.

  • @BenHanna7 If you want a lan case, get a CM Storm series case. Scout or Sniper should be good for your current HW setup.

  • @BenHanna7 Being honest, you're better off steering clear of either this case or the GTX 480 or 470. With nVidia's current heating problems, even though it may fit, it WILL suffer from poor ventilation, be very very noisy and possibly overheat. The concept of HTPC is that the thing will be under your TV where a DVD player would normally be and it won't be used for gaming. Therefore, nothing more than a GF9400/9500 or ATI HD 4550/4650 or 5650/5750 would be needed and cooling is within limits.
