Camallanus worms Angel fish

nasty worms up my fishes arse, at end of video worms were dying and comeing out, I hope they don't come back. I had to go to the vet for this. If you look close you can see them moving in the first half.

Also my fish has had this since i got it from the petstore. I think its been 1-2mnths? I didnt know what it was and didnt bother looking it up...i feel bad but please tell me if the medicated fish food will work... :- (

I couldn't get medicated food in the uk, I had to go to the vet and it was very succesfully treated with Levamisol added to the water, it killed the worms hanging out within three hours then I treated again one week later.

I have three angels and only one has this. But they are red? Should i take out the infected fish to prevent my other fish from becoming infected? and i got medicated fish food. Brand: Jungle. It has Metronidazole, Praziquantel, and Levamisole. Will this work?

leave all the fish in and treat all the tank, it can take a month for the adult worms to show out the fish by then they are adult and producing more. don't feel bad about the two months it was about that before I realized what it was the first time I got it.

In Canada, Levamisole is illegal. You can find it available for shipment from the US, though.

How did you get ur vet to give it to you? Did you just tell them what was wrong and they just gave it to u?
