This is a terrific tune that doesn't get played enough. The only recordings I know are by Bill Evans and Stan Getz. If anyone knows of other recordings, let me know. In my opinion, this tune is all about expressing joy. I can't play it without feeling it. This was a quickie GarageBand concoction that I put together on a Sunday night. Speed was the priority, not perfection. I only did two takes, took the better of the two, mistakes and all. The feeling comes through though. I enjoyed the heck out of doing this song.

  • Chic no ultimo!!! belissima interpretação !!!!

  • @fillodoro656565 Thank you!

  • I'm 14, and am learning to play this for jazz study and writing purposes, and I now realize that it needs to be a LOT faster than I'm playing! This feels like about BPM 150 but I've been playing a cool calm BPM 90-100

  • @AnAmericanComposer No problem going slower to better play in time.

  • Check with its author, Luiz Eca. There's here on Youtube from an old TV show, but the sound and image qualities are poor. Luiz recorded it in studio with his trio and also with a full philarmonic orchestra. Bill Evans got some of Luiz arrangements but with keyboards rather than a string orchestra.

  • @brastras will check it out.

  • Great job. Really pleasures one to hear this :)

  • How nice is to find one of Luiz Eça's songs so nicely played here on youtube.

Have you ever heard the other ones, the one that Bill Evans didn't record, Imagem, for example, or Reflexos?

  • @7notemode Thanks. Honestly I'm better at Classical, but I have some Jazz pieces to upload, but my uploader is broken somehow so it will be a while before I can upload them. I didn't say this, but you are awesome at this! What type of piano is this?
