The Okryu (bead-like flows) Bridge was completed for use in August 1960. The bridge is 700 meters (about 2300 feet) long and 28.5 meters (93.5 feet) wide. Both ends of the bridge are decorated with elaborate granite blocks of balustrade (ornamental design flourishes) and chandeliers that bear the bridge's name in Kim il Sung's handwriting.
