@jawanza91 Two years later after making my earlier comment, I'll tell you. Kenny G is producing worthless music to sell to people. The same muzaky, elevator music-esque, pseudo-blues easy listening music that people buy because he can hold a fucking saxophone note for minutes. Kenny G used to make decent music when he played bebop, but then completely sold out. He stopped giving a shit about the music. Ask any established jazz musician what they think of Kenny G, but don't say it in a crowd.

kenny G is an example of what happens to a jazz musician when they go mainstream. The music turns from jazz to some worthless excuse for music.

Kenny G anoys me, i'm 14 now, a teacher in my school asks me what i want to be when I grow up. I say a jazz musician, he says ohhh you wana be like kenny G.

HELL NO!!!

I know not enough to record myself over a recording of a jazz legend and try to sell it to the public.

If you ask any respectable jazz musician, they'll all tell you the same thing about Kenny G.

I had the chance to work with Antonio Hart at the Jamey Aebersold jazz workshop, and his opinion of Kenny G is roughly the same as my own.

The only accomplishment of Kenny G is his ability to sell music. He appeals to middle-class white people and upper-class black people. That's why he's so famous.
