Venus passes from an Evening Star to a Morning Star about now at 'inferior conjunction' eg between earth and sun but passes 9 degrees above the sun as a very thin crescent. A special mask made to cover the telescope to 1] safely view the sun and 2] a clear 10cm aperture [shaded from sunlight] to view and record Venus via a camera at the eyepiece. In mid session storm conditions [rain/ hail/ high winds] and got soaked but scope safe under a plastic sheet!

Venus is pretty jittery in the images, is that all atmospheric turbulence or was the scope being bounced by the wind a bit?
