  • They wouldn't allow me to post the link. But it is suggested at the end of the video.

  • I wanna learn the brush stroke, so nice sound!!

  • @JDHHD1 just do as I do in the video and play it over and over until it's second nature, like breathing.

  • how would you begin practicing fingerstyle? individual notes while using the thumb for the three bass string and fingers 1, 2 & 3 for the 3rd, 2nd, and 1st strings?

  • @nommerOfChickens You can got to the page suggested in the video and learn the different patterns I have posted. any time where the thumb is used can be alternated on a different string.

  • molto buono vorrei se possibile il suo pattern fingerstyle country in tab. grazie

  • Nice lesson, Bob. Easy to follow and well demonstrated

  • Practicing through repetition is the best way to advance. Just do a pattern over and over until you can do it without thinking.

A lot of the exercises I have on the site can be done while watching TV, which is what I do a lot of times. It takes a lot of boredom out of the activity of playing the same pattern over and over. You can do the same with scales.

You can even practice on an electric guitar that's not plugged in, to hear the TV better. It doesn't have to be a totally boring experience.

  • The kind of speed you get... have any tips on how to get to that point? I'd love to be able to play like that. I'm at a mid-beginner level and I'm wondering how long it would take for me to get your kind of speed around 1:23 and what exercised are useful for that.

Thanks for the great lessons on your site.

  • Great lesson Bob...you're very versatile.
