  • its pronounced LIN-UX not LINE-UX!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Agreed, ill make sure i say it better next time

I did not have a change to try out the software myself, but a friend stated that there is no way to use the server PC for anything else while it running the game. Is this really true? If it is and while this software seems to inflict this kind of input lag and decrease in performance this software just seems useless. =(

  • You cannot use the server for anything while its running a game. Most games will try to use all PC resources.

  • What fps does the linux get? and it looks like linux has a better game play all together. I thought you could play most pc games on linux anyway...but i could be wrong.

  • I can play Crysis on my PS3 at full HD 720p 25fps with a PC which has a Radion X1600.

Most PC games do not play on Linux. StreamMyGame is the first system in the world to enable you to play PC games via Ubuntu and most other linux distibutions including PS3.

  • does this work on a ubuntu 9.10 sd card install, my player keeps crashing when trying to start a game , what did i miss ?

  • what do you write in terminal to start the games??

  • Well WINE is great, we use it. Actually SMG is more like a DirectX OpenGL version on VNC connected to a community website with optimised encoding and lots of assembler.

  • can i have your psn id please

  • 1/2

By the looks of the video, it actually isn't very "synchronized".

There is very noticeable input lag, best seen when you shoot. The delay between clicking the mouse and the weapon actually firing in the game is unacceptable for any high speed game. (fps games like Crysis for instance)

Also the frame rate on the linux PC seems to be far lower than what it is on the "server" PC (on which it isnt very good either). The game play on both PC's looks choppy.
