Lisu New Year in Nong Tong village, Pang Mapha, Mae Hong Song Province, northern Thailand.
They are Lisu from Shan State of Burma to join the celebration. I would like to call this style "Maliba" or "Kokang" dancing. Chinese Han people's dancing in the above area (so called The 1st Autonomy Region of Shan State) is similar. My families went back to visit homeland villages during lunar new year and talk with our friends. Most Lisu also can speak Maliba langguage, a kind of Han Chinese dialect spoken on the border area of China and Shan State of Burma.
