@baaaba21 Being a resident of NC, living on the coast, and working in the water for my whole life I can tell you that it's not a good idea to swim with them ^^. I prefer to observe them while safely on a boat. I agree with you though that it does seem like a crime to harm something so deadly and majestic.

These people should die as painfull as these beautifull animals. What a crime to kill endangered species like hammerheads. Why would you kill these beautifull animals for fun?? Dive with them, swim with them...but for christ sake, don't kill them!

Anyone know the new rules on shark fishing for hammerheads and tiger sharks in Florida state waters? I just saw a little clip on the news but it wasn't clear if you weren't allowed to target them or just harvest them. It went into effect Jan 1st 2012. Man I'm getting sick of grunt tacos. Hope they open Goliath grouper soon. This is getting out of hand.

Try an Avet EX50W. The drag is good and you can put a bunch of line on it.
