For 7Notemode - trio version

About 2 years ago I posted a solo piano improvisation dedicated to the great YouTube Pianist (and co-producer and audio mixer of my CD) 7notemode. This became one of my most popular videos and is now available on my CD as a spontaneously improvised trio version. Marty (Bass) and Matt (Drums) had never heard the song, so I played about 30 seconds to give them the vibe of the tune and then we all just started to play. Here is an excerpt from our improvisation on the song 7Notemode from my new CD, "Going My Way".

Man, that's a catchy title! Seriously, your playing is so layered and emotionally resonant on this tune.  You play just enough notes to get the point across. Beautiful, understated playing.

If I had to compare it to something, I would go with Eon, Elm, or Hubris by Richard Beirach on ECM from back in the '70's. You really have a lot of elegance and style.
