No one makes fun of the refugees that immigrate and urban culture to the united states? Yes they do. Perhaps society isn't generally as open with their mockery of poor foreigners and inner city people, as making fun of "white trash" , but they are still made fun of . I do believe that some liberals unabashedly make fun of "white trash" , but then again, you have many REDNECKS who make their living off of propagating redneck and "white trash" stereotypes too.

@Pentazoid111 No, their hearts bleed for the black "trash", that's the point (for the little that's worth). And yes, my mother told me she is often quietly horrified at the second-class citizen status afforded many Hispanics in NY City (that neo-liberal Mecca - just don't call them Spics, right?). The point, I think, is that the media fixation on the so-called crimes of poor white America is an affront to common decency and intellectual honesty.

No group should be referred to as trash, ever.
