  • There's no war against science. Atheists can't have contesting beliefs and so they rape "science," forcing it to create & propagate "evidence" supporting their worldview. It is the atheist that is waging a war against science; regardless of what science may say, their worldview can't accept God; thus He a priori does not exist. Evidence, sound arguments, etc supporting His existence is discarded. & the fallacy absence of evidence is evidence of absence becomes an uncontestable truth

  • @ChristianMission "Atheists can't have contesting beliefs and so they rape "science," forcing it to create & propagate "evidence" supporting their worldview."

    what the fuck is this? are you TRYING to be ironic? why does EVERY christian out there project their own ignorance onto those they disagree with? you might as well be an alcoholic telling sober people they drink too much.

  • @1eyedjack3 "Being a theology student, many people take the bible out of context (like homosexuality) and bend it to their will"

    what do you expect to happen when you give people a book that allows, or even promotes, ignorance and bigotry, and then call it the 'word of god'? bigots will eat that shit up with a spoon.

    also, much of the distaste atheists have with religion and the religious comes from the way they are treated by the religious for not buying into the same bullshit.

  • @ChristianMission , the Greatest Engine of atheism. But not only evolution. All scientific development. To quote Neil DeGrasse Tyson, "God is an ever-rescending pocket of scientific ignorance, that will, someday, simply end."

  • @ChristianMission Religious people from nowadays, because 400 years ago, Religion also thought the Earth was flat and the center of the Universe. But it's been proven wrong. And as I described, atheism is born from critical thought to defy the current paradigm of religion, but mainly, out of science and human comprehension of the world, that as science continues it march towards understanding, makes God obsolete. And that is why theories like Evolution arem as Provine described

  • @ChristianMission It explains things that we couldn't before, and we needed a God to understand and comprehend it, but we don't need it anymore. And science nears complete comprehension of this existance God becomes increasingly unnecessary to explain and give answers to our doubts, and less people actually turn to God for answers, because now they have science. And that is how atheism is born. From science. And I firmly believe 400 years from now humanity will be laughing at

  • @ChristianMission Demeter. And much like Demeter, the fact that we can't quite explain it yet doesn't make it more credible or real. But the point here is that we actually CAN explain some things, like the development of the species and how they showed up on Earth. Religion rejects those because it makes the God they defend obsolete, but this doesn't make the theory (under scientific terminology) wrong.Evolution is the engine of atheism because it actually makes God obsolete;

  • @ChristianMission And thus Demeter because obsolete. The same concept aplies to Yahveh. Our science and reasoning, even though capable of great deeds, still can't quite explain all the fundamental questions about life and the Universe, even though we already have several theories and evidence and we are slowly getting there. So, we have a God to explain this -life, creation-. Now as our scientific endeavours yields fruits and understandic, Yahveh is becoming obsolete, much like

  • @ChristianMission as follows: Greek reasoning created critical sense, but their science still couldn't explain why or how it rained, and why or how crops grew, so they had a God for it. Demeter. The best explanation by the time for rain and growth was, de facto, Demeter, the goddess of rain, growth, and fertility, however this doesn't mean Demeter is real nor that Demeter is likely to exist. As science advanced, they eventually could explain rain and growth- though meteoroly.

  • @ChristianMission You see, I'm not going to use any natual science in my argument. Just human sciences. Well, Gods and other myths have always been used by humanity to explain things they don't knows or don't understand. The worldwide range of this.. effect is explained by the common subconcious theory in psychology. Back to the point, whenever human reasoning was faced with something they couldn't quite explain, they created a God for it. There are rivers of examples to this,

  • @ChristianMission very specific guidelines concerning science: "Okay, you can do science. But if your science doesn't agree with what we think is true, we will burn you to death." How can this be beneficial to scientific development? Second, I would like you to tell me what pseudoscience atheists use. And third, I'll tell you why William Provine is right.

  • @ChristianMission I agree with William Provine. First thing, to say it is because of the church that we got where we are is ridiculous. Yep, Mendel and Lamaître were priests, but no one ever said a priest cannot be a scientist. The Middle Age -oftentimes called the Dark Age of humanity- was a period when the church held all power. I would be suprised if they hadn't created any academic institution, like universities. But once these universities were creted, the Church followed
