A lesson in Patience - Turkey shooting Kapiti Island

Matrix fish twitching my trigger finger and getting away with it! Spearfishing at Kapiti Island February 2010 in yet more hazy viz, but lots of fish around and had a great morning with Q.

Hi Great videos you are shooting, makes me want to visit NZ, what kind of camera are you using?

@uridabahia Hey. Im using a canon powershot 720IS in a Housing in this vid. I also have a GoPro fisheye which gives a nice wide view, but loss of detail. Oh and camera is mounted onto my Cressi Carbon fibre 100cm gun which I use for most of my hunting around Kapiti Island. Haven't quite worked out how to mount a cam on the big 4 rubber harpoon due to the forces when firing - plus trying to battle 20kg fish and worrying about a camera.

You finally caught the "matrix" move on camera! Normally this is only seen after the spear is on it's way, and you are cursing the fish for dodging the spear.
