  • Ah, the smallest Zeppelin ever built, the Eureka. 240 feet long, capacity of twelve. Compared to the largest, the cruise liner Graf Zeppelin 2, which was 804 feet long, had a restaurant, promenade decks, a bar, a lounge, a purser's office, a smoking room, staterooms, officer's mess, washrooms, crew quarters, cargo bay, radio room, bridge, navigation room, generator room, crew lounges, a small library and a post office, all for over 100 people. And was faster at 84 mph. Some difference.

  • I love the aft-facing window seat. That's a bay window seat with a million dollar view. And there's a privy on board too! Next step - first class dinner while watching the sunset over LA from 3000 feet. The future is indeed bright for the airship.

  • Hi folks, If you like airships and are in the mood for a Helium sniffing laugh try my Gasbags site:

  • "Look at the view from my office" :-)

  • I must be amazing to fly with one of those.. I'd love to try that anyday..

  • If only someone would integrate cabins and the gondola into the upper envelope... I've worked on a few RC models, but don't know how much it'd cost to build one that could carry actual passengers.

  • Seems like a small passenger area. I wonder how many maximum passengers it can hold? Seems like it could feasibly handle a larger max capacity. I don't know squat about zeppelins though.
