Pinwheel bow...this one is made using 24" of 1.5" grosgrain ribbon. I also show examples of 2" pinwheel using 16" of 5/8" grosgrain ribbon, and a 3" pinwheel using 20" of grosgrain ribbon. Enjoy and hope it helps

  • what kind of yarn you use to tie the bow?

  • @gigioslady sorry for taking so long but I use a heavy duty button thread (Coats & Clark brand)

  • @JessaBailey Thanks Lady! Imma be rich if only people knew how easy to make accessories like hair bows. Anyhow I have a question I use fabric(e.g old jeans,T-shirts or just store bought fabric) make my bows and the jean fabric sticks out on the side over time like it's comig a loose. What's the best way to seal fabric?

  • @irrneone CONGRATS! Umm I have no idea on the fabric question because I only use ribbons...sorry...maybe fabrictac or something like that...GOOD LUCK!

  • @irrneone I would try heat sealing with a lighter or seeing if you could run the wood burner across the end...good luck!

  • Thanks so much everyone! I love making these videos!

  • wow..thanks for this video!

i just spent an hour looking at amillion vids and had trouble following most of them!

yours was very easy and simple..but i didnt sew..still came out great!

  • @irrneone You might try heat sealing it. All you do is take a lighter and brush the flame to the end of the ribbon. It will feel kind of hard at the end. Make sure not to let it catch on fire :) I hope that's what you were looking for!

  • this is the best beginners pinwheel hairbow video i have seen on youtube yet and i have been searching since june awesome you get 2 thumbs up

  • e6000 glue works awesome to attach bows to clips/headbands or anything... and all you need is a TINY dab :) just fyi... :)

  • @irrneone Hi. You can use Fray Check, it's like a glue that seals the edges. You can also stitch along the edge of the fabric and allow some of it to fray, but will stop at the stitching. I personally like the frayed look :) HTH
