Lucy Show season 3 intro (first version)

The opening theme for the third season of "The Lucy Show". This version includes the "Co-starring Vivian Vance" voiceover (Vance did not appear in all of the episodes that season, so some episodes did not include the voiceover).

I remember this when I was a kid! Haven't seen this in a while..I think Nick at Nite used to show the Lucy Show reruns...Wish they'd bring them back!

I remember this opening from when TBS used to broadcast "The Lucy Show" on weekday mornings back in the summer of 1979.

There is another version of this intro that shows a clip of Vivian and her name when the announcer says "Co-Starring Vivian Vance"

She was tired of the weekly commute from her home in Connecticut, and wanted to spend more time with her husband. Ball was willing to give her many incentives to stay on, but Vivian deliberately made unrealizable demands in order to be released from her contract; it was no longer important to her.

The Second Season of The Lucy Show is being relesed on DVD July 13, 2010! It's available for pre-order on amazon!

That's because CBS syndicated the show for daytime in the mid-60s and replaced all the openings w/ the kaleidoscope opening. I've even seen B&W Lucy Show reruns on Nick-at-Nite w/ a B&W version of the kaleidoscope.
