Just because the school board favors the football team is no excuse for DRUMMERS who keep the time for the band, to be out of step like they are in this video. I've marched in two parades as a member of this band and we looked at it as important as any contest to do the best job we could. They march like they're marching through deep mud and so many of them are out of step. How hard is it to work on that? So you need the support of the school board to get in step?
I agree with you. They do only attend to the football team. But, this is not a new thing. They've always done that even back when I was in the band. It's no excuse to be out of step. The band needs to forget the excuses and pull it back together. I know the kids are young. Good for them for marching that young. But, someone needs to be there to steer them with motivation to pull that standard level back up. Just cause they favor the football team is no excuse to let the band standard fall.
First of all, thanks for your inconsiderate comment.
These kids are from the 8th grade and have only had a little over a year of band.
Our school system is to awful to help the band out. They would rather help the football team. Also, the older kids in high school do not play in the band much b/c they don't give alot of credits toward college.
Raiders look like a bunch of little wimps. Wherever or whatever the Raiders are, they suck, big time.

So I think we do great with what we have.
