This video was shown to attendees of the groundbreaking ceremony for the restoration of courtroom 6-1 of the Dade County Courthouse. It tells the history of the courtroom and the efforts undertaken to acquire funding for the project. Al Capone and Guiseppe Zangara, the would-be assassin of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, had their cases heard in this courtroom. The video was written, edited, and narrated by Judge Scott J. Silverman

  • Even worse than the accoustic tiles is the disgusting exposed grid ceilings installed since the 60's to the present. That garbage should be removed from the entire building!At least the 30's-40's tiles are historic.
