Launchpad is a new feature in Mac OS X Lion for launching your applications. It closely mimics the look and behaviour of the iOS home screens, making iOS users who are new to Mac feel at home. You can easily drag applications around and place them in iOS like folders to organise them. Launchpad can be easily activated on a Multi-touch trackpad, or on a Magic Trackpad by pinching in with four/five fingers. However, launchpad can become cluttered when you have an Adobe Creative Suite (or something similar) installed. Organisation can take a long time, but overall if you want to use Launchpad watching this video will help you with using it correctly.
In this video I give an in depth demo of Launchpad, showcasing its main features. I also give my overall verdict of the new feature, discussing the advantages and disadvantages of it. I give my final conclusion as to if Launchpad adds to the Mac OS X experience.
I have Windows 7, Ubuntu Linux, Linux Mint, PC-BSD, and Mac OS Lion on my HP/PC , and I don't like the Mac OS at all . It seems Mac has tons of small pointless apps , but has nothing good to offer. Most Mac software I already have in Windows, or Linux. All Mac seems to have is a ton of cleaning apps, and apps to un-install apps.
