Yes,

the teacher seems inexperienced, but she really has no power except to refer the kid for a day to a cushy "chill" room in the Dean's office, or callling the "parent"---All-too-often, the parent cries on the phone to the teacher that "I can't make him do anything anymore! I don't know what to do!"

When parent calls fail, a teacher has little left to work with now,

except for pitiful begging, which is still allowed.

Anything else (including strong language!) could get the teacher fired.

This is the result of modern discipline "policies" (i.e. NO policy) in force at many urban Public Schools these days.

Also, This can & does happen with ANY ethnicity. Racist remarks are irrelevant.

Just like the BEST kids can be black, white, brown, purple, etc, So can the surly, dysfunctional kids who we see here.

If you think any for-profit charter school is gonna' take any of these dysfunctional kids,

you are sadly mistaken.

I think it is a crime that the teacher has no aide or help in a classroom with such extreme behavior.

Teachers' hands are tied these days in

Public Schools.

If that teacher so much as swore at those kids she would be out of a job, pronto.

For the kids?

No consequences.

No wonder kids feel like they can do anything these days.

I know the teacher looks ineffective, but she has no help whatsoever, and no "tools" other than ASKING for cooperation.
